Express Coffee Vietnam is a single-origin Vietnamese arabica, thick, creamy, and chocolaty, fresh roasted to order in small batches by our Michigan roastery in medium or dark roast, whole bean or ground.

This Vietnamese arabica surprised the heck out of us! It started as a special treat and won us over so fast that we had to make it a regular.

Tasting notes

Thick and creamy, with semi-sweet chocolate and nutty notes in every cup. It holds up well to milk and makes a great base for Vietnamese-style iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk.

• Dark roast (our favorite!): Smoky, strong, and intense, with caramel-chocolate notes, low acidity, and a bold, rich finish. Dark, creamy, and smooth.
• Medium roast: A rounder, mellower cup with dark chocolate, date, baking spice, and butterscotch, plus a gentle nutty sweetness.

Why it's special

Vietnam is the world's second-largest coffee producer, but nearly all of its crop is robusta. Arabica makes up only a small share of the harvest, grown in the country's cooler highlands, which makes a Vietnamese arabica like this one a unique and fairly rare find.

Roasted on a fluid bed roaster

We roast every batch on a fluid bed (hot-air) roaster, which uses a stream of hot air to roast the beans evenly. This helps minimize bitterness and bring out more of the coffee's natural sweetness. We roast to order, so your coffee is fresh roasted when you order it.

Drip or pour-over suggested! Choose whole bean, or let us grind it for you:
